Eye care educational programs
Our educational programs include:
- Living with Low Vision - We offer adaptive computer training, a range of technology and full practice kitchens in both our Grosse Pointe and Livonia centers.
Support groups for your vision
Our support groups are a powerful outlet for you to share your personal experience with others and gain important information on dealing with vision loss.
Our support groups are free of charge and often feature health professionals as guest speakers.
- Senior Support Groups - Our senior support group meetings are held at the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology in Grosse Pointe Park and in Livonia at the Henry Ford Center for Vision Rehabilitation & Research. The group provides a comfortable environment to discuss the challenges of living fully with a visual impairment.
- Visionaries Support Group - Visionaries support group is open to adults ages 20-59 in the Detroit area. Members of this support group are always eager to share new interests and opportunities with others in the visually impaired community.
