• Oculus Pentacam® eye scanner: The most advanced technology for screening laser vision correction candidates, the Pentacam eye scanner uses a rotating camera to capture precise measurements of both the front and back of the cornea, including its thickness – a key factor when determining eligibility for laser eye surgery.
• VARIO: Delivers complete map of the cornea for precise cyclotorsion control, Immediate visibility of visual defects with advanced, integrated mapping technology, Pupil centroid shift detection, Uses a Placido disk system with 22,000 elevation points for ultimate precision.
• FS 200 Femtosecond Laser: The first step during LASIK is to create a corneal flap, which is done using our cutting edge femtosecond laser (bladeless) technology, which offers the highest level of precision.
• Wavelight excimer laser: For both LASIK and PRK, your Henry Ford surgeon reshapes your cornea with this advanced laser, which provides a precise level of measurement and correction never before possible in laser vision correction.
• Contura: The latest advancement in WaveLight refractive technology that allows our surgeons to provide an even more personalized laser procedure for patients with nearsightedness, or nearsightedness with astigmatism, based on the unique corneal topography of each eye. To explain it a little more clearly, your cornea has its own unique topography, its very own map. The Contoura® procedure allows our team to see the unique details of your cornea and customize the treatment to your eyes specifically. Most importantly, it allows you to see sharp details, rich textures, and vivid colors every time you open your eyes.
