First Trauma Recovery Center in Michigan Opens to Survivors
Henry Ford Health’s Trauma Recovery Center aims to help survivors recover from the emotional wounds of violent crime and other sudden injury.
Most people who have behavioral or mental health issues will never need inpatient psychiatric care. But for severe cases, inpatient care allows us to provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting.
Patients usually enter inpatient psychiatric care after a referral from an emergency room doctor. Occasionally, a psychiatrist or primary care doctor may also refer patients for inpatient treatment. Once you’ve been admitted to inpatient care, a thorough assessment allows us to create a customized treatment plan to meet your specific needs. Learn more about our inpatient assessment process.

Henry Ford Jackson Hospital Behavioral Health Services provides complete psychiatric care for adults and geriatric/older adults, with both partial and full hospitalization options available.
We have the resources — and the compassion — to help individuals struggling with behavioral health challenges. Our experienced team has extensive training in a variety of specialties. The team includes board-certified psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, licensed social workers, psychologists and mental health therapists.

Henry Ford Kingswood Hospital in Ferndale provides comprehensive inpatient psychiatric treatment. Our psychiatric hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission. Kingswood is one of the few hospitals in the area that provides comprehensive, personalized treatment for adolescents and children. Care is provided in a safe and caring environment on our newly renovated campus.

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital’s Behavioral Services department provides complete inpatient care in our adult psychiatric unit. Because of our location within Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, we can treat patients who also have medical conditions that require attention.
We offer a range of therapies as part of our inpatient psychiatric care, including electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). In addition, we can treat patients with acute psychiatric conditions who also are dealing with addiction (also known as substance-use disorder).
