Treatment options for addiction

Addiction is a disease, not a lack of willpower or an unwillingness to quit. Our treatment programs are backed by the latest science and research. We’ll work with you and your loved ones to create a customized treatment plan based on the results of a thorough assessment, which includes both a physical exam and psychosocial evaluation.

Virtual Care Available

Henry Ford Maplegrove Center now offers the full scope of outpatient addiction treatment in a virtual setting using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

The level of treatment you may need will depend on the severity of your substance-use disorder, whether you have additional medical or behavioral health conditions, and your level of support at home. Our addiction team will recommend one of three levels of treatment:

Detoxification (also known as detox) and medication-assisted treatment both play an important role in addiction care at all levels. These treatments can help you deal with physical withdrawal symptoms when you stop using addictive substances.

We provide specialized treatment programs for:

  • Employees in particular fields, including the athletic, health care, legal, or transportation fields
  • Teens
  • Women, including pregnant women

Cost of treatment

Henry Ford Behavioral Health and Henry Ford Maplegrove Center accept most major commercial health plans. We will check with your health plan and let you know what treatment is covered, as well as any costs for which you may be responsible, such as coinsurance, copays or deductibles. Because coverage varies, we recommend that you contact your health plan with specific questions about your benefits. Private pay options are also available.
