At Henry Ford Cancer, we recognize the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on our current and newly diagnosed patients across Michigan and the other states that we serve.
Your health and safety remain our top priorities. We have enhanced standards in place that allow us to safely provide cancer care to you or your loved one for in-person appointments and treatment, including:
- Specific screening and testing prior to entering the facility for all patients and visitors
- Those with COVID-19 symptoms are tested and provided the proper care, which we help coordinate.
- Infection control safeguards in all our care environments, including chemotherapy/infusion, radiation therapy, time-sensitive cancer surgeries, and others, to provide a safe care experience
For new patients, our 17 multidisciplinary care teams and tumor boards continue to meet and discuss the best cancer care plan.
We recognize the desire and need for in-person appointments to consult with our cancer care physicians and are making those available along with comprehensive virtual care options.
We want to meet you where you’re most comfortable, so you can get the care you need and never have to miss an appointment – whether it’s a virtual care visit or in-person appointment at one of our locations.
Virtual Cancer Care Connections
We understand you may be hesitant to come in for a visit. As part of our commitment to provide the safest, most advanced cancer care, we offer several virtual care options to get you the care you need by expanding our reach beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics.

Our current patients have several options to stay connected with their care team, either virtually or in-person, including same-day care for urgent health needs related to chemotherapy or radiation therapy treatments.
MyChart Messaging
- Through MyChart email you can message your doctor and get answers to your medical questions from the comfort of your home.
MyChart Video Visit
- This is a convenient, secure way to video chat with your provider through the MyChart app on your mobile device, tablet or laptop.
- Video Visits offer an opportunity to receive the same high-quality healthcare expertise from your provider, without having to travel to the facility.
- Watch a short patient instructional video with information regarding downloading the mobile MyChart app (Android or iPhone) and connecting, interacting and disconnecting with a provider using MyChart video visits.
OncoSTAT
- The OncoStat clinic provides a range of same-day immediate care services to patients experiencing the side effects of cancer treatment. OncoStat's oncology-trained Advanced Practice Providers and Registered Nurses work in close collaboration with your trusted Henry Ford Cancer team.
- If you're experiencing side effects of your cancer treatment, please call :(313) 725-STAT (7828). Our triage nurse will review your symptoms and help you decide what type of visit is best for you.
- OncoStat is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
