Within the same week, a comprehensive treatment plan is designed and tailored to the needs of the patient and family. Ian Lee

Ian Lee, M.D.
Dr. Lee is the Co-Director of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center, as part of Henry Ford Cancer. He is a neurosurgeon specializing in brain tumor surgery. He received his medical degree at Wayne State University and completed fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center



Steven Kalkanis

Steven Kalkanis, M.D.
Dr. Kalkanis is the CEO of the Henry Ford Medical Group and Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute. As a nationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in brain tumor surgery, Dr. Kalkanis has been involved in numerous clinical trials for brain tumors. He received his medical degree from Harvard University and completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.


Asim Mahmood

Asim Mahmood, M.D.
Dr. Mahmood is a neurosurgeon at Henry Ford specializing in brain tumor surgery, skull-base tumors, spine surgery and is currently the Director of Neuro-Trauma. He received his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed fellowship training in skull base surgery at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and completed an additional fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital.


Adam Robin

Adam Robin, M.D.
Dr. Robin is a neurosurgeon at the Henry Ford Hermelin Brain Tumor Center specializing in brain tumors, skull-base tumors and spinal tumors. He received his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his fellowship training in Neurosurgical Oncology at memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.


Jack Rock

Jack Rock, M.D.
Dr. Rock is the Interim Chair Henry Ford Department of Neurosurgery and a neurosurgeon at the Henry Ford Hermelin Brain Tumor Center specializing in pituitary disorders/surgery, skull base surgery and brain tumors. Dr. Rock received his medical degree from the University of Miami, Florida. He completed fellowship training in Surgical Neurology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and also completed fellowship training in Neuro-trauma at the University of Maryland.


Neuro-oncology

Tobias Walbert

Tobias Walbert, M.D., PhD, MPH
Dr. Walbert is the Co-Director of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center, as part of the Henry Ford Cancer. He is a board certified Neuro-Oncologist specializing in Precision Medicine and the treatment of brain tumors and neurofibromatosis. He is board certified in neurology and palliative care medicine. He completed his residency at Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH and fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has served as principle investigator of multiple clinical trials and is internationally known in the field of neuro-palliative care.


Tom Mikkelsen

Tom Mikkelsen, M.D.
Dr. Mikkelsen is a Neuro-Oncologist specializing in Precision Medicine and clinical trials in the treatment of brain tumors. He completed post-doctoral training in tumor and molecular biology at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Montreal and then in La Jolla, California. Since 1992, he has been part of the brain tumor program at Henry Ford Hospital, responsible for founding the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center and building the clinical trials program and laboratory of tumor biology.


James Snyder

James Snyder, D.O.
Dr. Snyder is a Neuro-Oncologist specializing in Precision Medicine and clinical trials in the treatment of brain tumors. He completed fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He is board certified in neurology.

Lisa Rogers 

Lisa Rogers, M.D.
Dr. Rogers is a Neuro-Oncologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of patients with brain tumors, including primary and metastatic tumors. She also specializes in the neurological complications of cancer and its treatment, such as cognitive impairment and neuropathy. She completed fellowship training in Neuro-Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and residency program at the Cleveland Clinic. She is board certified in neurology.

Deepak Pradhan, M.D.
Dr. Pradhan is a radiation oncologist at Henry Ford Cancer. He specializes in the care of patients with brain tumors. He completed post-graduate training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.


Salim Siddiqui

Salim Siddiqui, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Siddiqui is a radiation oncologist at Henry Ford Cancer. He specializes in the care of patients with brain tumors. He completed post-graduate training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.


Mira Shah

Mira Shah, M.D.
Dr. Shah is a radiation oncologist at Henry Ford Cancer. She specializes in the care of patients with brain tumors and Leukemia. She completed post-graduate training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Dr. Donthireddy is a medical oncologist at Henry Ford Cancer. She specializes in the care of several cancers, including brain tumors, leukemia, lymphoma and Myeloma. She completed fellowship training in Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Francine Weidendorf

Francine Weidendorf, RN
Francine Weidendorf is a neuro-oncology nurse navigator for the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center as part of Henry Ford Cancer. She assists patients and their families from the time of diagnosis through surveillance and survivorship.

 

Janell Wilcox PA
Janell Wilcox is a physician assistant in neuro-oncology for the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center as part of Henry Ford Cancer. Janell is responsible for assisting patient during chemotherapy and infusion treatments.

Amy Williamson 

Amy Williamson, RN
Amy Williamson is a neuro-oncology nurse navigator for the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center as part of Henry Ford Cancer. Amy has been a cancer nurse navigator with Henry Ford for almost two decades. Amy assists brain tumor patients and their families from diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

Amy Carion is a registered dietitian who leads nutrition services and counseling for patients with brain cancer.


Nestelynn Gay

Nestelynn Gay
Nestelynn Gay is a Patient Resource Coordinator for the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center. She is available to assist you with any needs that may create a potential barrier in your care at Henry Ford Health. She can assist with transportation needs, financial resources, disability paperwork and supportive services related to our support group.


Michael Ryan, PsyD

Michael Ryan, PsyD
Dr. Ryan is a Health Psychologist and Clinical Director of Supportive Oncology Services at Henry Ford Cancer. She specializes in the supportive care of cancer patients on their journey, from diagnosis through survivorship.


Lisa Scarpace

Lisa Scarpace 
Lisa Scarpace is the Program Manager of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center. She assists in various capacities in Neurosurgery, NeuroOncology and Radiology. She specializes in advance technologies used in the treatment of brain tumors.
