Henry Ford Hospital welcomes students to our campus for clerkships, elective rotations, research, and shadowing experiences. Visiting Elective Scholarships

Henry Ford Hospital offers scholarships to visiting 4th year students by application. Participating programs include:

Medical Student Lounge and Relaxation Space

Newly renovated, the student lounge features computers, a Keurig coffee machine, reclining chairs, kitchenette, and television. On-call rooms are available upon request.

Parking

Medical students must park at either the New Center Garage (off campus, 5am-8pm) or at the North Garage (on campus, 8:30am-5am). Your badge will give you access to these garages at the times listed. You may NOT park in other hospital areas including patient parking. Please read additional information about each site below and review the attached map. If you have any questions or if you have trouble accessing the garages, contact the Medical Education Office at 313-916-1601 or email at undergraduatemedicaleducation@hfhs.org.

New Center Garage -- Shuttles service operates from the New Center Garage on Monday through Friday from at 5 am to 8 pm. The New Center Garage is located at 116 Lothrop Street, Detroit 48202.

North Garage – You may park on-campus in the North Garage on Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 5 am. You will have 24-hour access on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Please do not attempt to park in the North Garage at any other time as your badge will be rejected. The North Garage is located at the intersection of Pallister and the southbound Lodge Service Drive (M-10).

*When rotating at Henry Ford Main Campus, the Medical Education office does not recommend parking at any other garage/lot, other than what is listed above.
