Theodora Costin, D.O.
PGY-4

Theo Costin was born and raised in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Texas for her undergraduate education. She then pursued a master’s degree in clinical research management at the University of North Texas Health Science Center where she was a clinical research coordinator for a year before attending medical school at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. Theo chose Henry Ford Wyandotte for her Obstetrics and Gynecology training due to the hospital’s diverse patient population and the mentorship opportunities within the residency program. In her free time, you’ll find Theo at a music venue, Orangetheory, or cuddling with her chihuahua, Tyson. Theo is excited to get to know her co-residents and explore all that Michigan has to offer.

Rachel Haddad, D.O.
PGY-4

Rachel grew up in Southern Ohio and attended medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She loves to spend time with her family, friends, and all of her animals. Rachel was drawn to Henry Ford because of how friendly and patient the residents, nurses, and staff were. She wanted to complete her residency at a community hospital because her ultimate career goals are to return to Ohio and help the underserved population. Rachel is so excited to experience Michigan, and to have such a wonderful group of residents and attendings to work with!

Crystal Smith, D.O.
PGY-4

Crystal grew up in Gallion, AL, and attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL, for her undergraduate education. After undergrad, she worked in public service as a financial support worker for the Alabama Department of Human Resources and as a microbiologist for the Alabama Department of Public Health. She completed a master’s in biological sciences at Auburn University, Auburn, AL, where she was a graduate teaching assistant before attending medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, AL. In choosing a residency program, Crystal was looking for a small, close-knit program with an outstanding reputation, thorough curriculum, and family feel at a community hospital committed to underserved populations in a family-friendly city; these are just a few things that made Henry Ford Wyandotte’s Ob/Gyn Residency Program the perfect fit for her. A foodie who enjoys exploring new restaurants, in her free time, you can find Crystal attending her son Mason’s sports events and going on adventures with her husband, Neal, Mason, and their toy poodle, Luna.

Noel Boone, D.O.
PGY-3

Noel is from the Richmond, VA area. She completed her undergraduate degree at George Mason University in Psychology. After living at the Jersey Shore and coming back to work for several years, she moved to Knoxville, TN where she completed her Masters in Biomedical Sciences and attended Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. Noel chose Henry Ford Wyandotte for her OB/GYN residency training because of the variety of experiences and education she knew she would receive there. With the diverse patient population and pathology coupled with a level of responsibility that allows her to enhance her skills, knowledge, and confidence, in combination with the amazing residents at the program. In her free time, Noel loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog. As well as traveling and exploring new places!

Ines Eugenio-Fernandez, D.O.

Ines was born and raised in Spain, until moving to the NoVA/DC area to complete high school and obtain her undergraduate degree in Biology from George Mason University. She then worked as a GED teacher, before completing medical school at Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. After her rotation at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, she knew she wanted to train here. She loved the outstanding faculty, supportive and friendly residents, and dedicated nurses, who all created an environment where learning is both challenging and rewarding. She is certain this program will prepare her to be a confident and skilled clinician, thanks to the diverse patient population, interesting pathology and strong surgical skills training. In her free time, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, exploring Detroit, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Jacob Hutchins, D.O.
PGY-3

Jacob, raised in Ogden, Utah, pursued his undergraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences at Weber State University. His interest in OB/GYN grew during his time at A.T. Still University, where he appreciated the field's focus on long-term patient relationships and its variety of medical, surgical, and obstetrical care. His rotation at Henry Ford Wyandotte stood out among others due to the genuine camaraderie, robust surgical training, and emphasis on osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). Jake is married and has 3 boys. He enjoys playing sports, being outdoors, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Arshya Garg, D.O.
PGY-2

Arshya was raised in the greater Toronto area. She earned her BSc in Health Sciences from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, and moved down South to attend William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is thrilled to be training at Henry Ford Wyandotte for its strong educational curriculum, diverse patient population, tight-knit group of residents, and to be closer to home. In her free time, Arshya enjoys reading, working out, travelling, and exploring local coffee shops and restaurants.

Rachel Williams, D.O.
PGY-2

Rachel is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and went on to earn her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Monroe, Louisiana. Her passion for OB/GYN grew during medical school, where she discovered a strong interest in prenatal care and developed the belief that a healthy community begins with healthy mothers and babies. Rachel chose Henry Ford Wyandotte for her residency after completing a fourth-year rotation with the program, where she was drawn to its close-knit environment and the wide-ranging exposure to obstetrics, primary care, and surgical management. Rachel is excited to continue her training in Michigan and to be part of such a supportive and dynamic group of residents.

Aaron Barfield, D.O.
PGY-1

Aaron was raised in the rural northeast region of Louisiana. He earned his Bachelor's in Biology at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, then moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi where he completed his Master's in Biomedical Sciences and then earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. While on a 4th year rotation at Henry Ford Wyandotte, he was attracted to the community-based setting that prepares residents for practice as an OB/GYN generalist, as well as the compassionate, caring attitudes of the faculty, staff, and residents across the hospital. He is honored to have the privilege of serving and caring for women during significant milestones in their lives, and plans to return to a rural, underserved area. He is excited to learn from generations of physicians that have faithfully served the women of the Downriver community. Aaron and his wife, Anastasia, enjoy exploring metro-Detroit and everything that Pure Michigan has to offer!

Sasha Knight-Hudson
PGY-1

Sasha, a Michigan native, grew up between Detroit and Kalamazoo. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and a Graduate certificate in Medical Neuroscience from Michigan State University, followed by a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from Mississippi College. Before medical school, she worked for many years as a medical scribe and research technician. Her interest in OB/GYN sparked during her time as an ED scribe in Metro Detroit, where she witnessed the impact of limited access to prenatal and gynecologic care. This experience fueled her passion for serving under-resourced populations. She attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where, after completing her third-year rotation at Henry Ford Wyandotte, she felt an instant connection to the supportive, community-focused program. Outside of medicine, Sasha enjoys reading, watching psychological thrillers, playing the violin, attending concerts, and spending time with her cat Byron and mini poodle Benny. She’s thrilled to continue her training in the Downriver community with such an incredible group of residents.
