Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program

Program Director: Salvatore Finazzo, D. O.
Medical Education Specialist-OB/GYN: Linda Murray, (734) 324-3781

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is one of Michigan’s leading OB/GYN residency programs with Osteopathic Recognition. Nearly 1,800 deliveries and 1,400 gynecological surgical procedures are performed annually. The hospital serves a broad demographic population with a large variety of obstetrical and gynecological needs.

The program faculty consists of 25 private attending/faculty physicians well versed in OB/GYN, as well as subspecialties. Faculty and residents work as partners, with residents exercising progressively elevated patient responsibility. There is 24 hour in-house OB/GYN physician coverage as well as in-house maternal/fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology coverage and neonatology.

The graduate training program in obstetrics and gynecology is accredited by ACGME and is designed to prepare graduates for the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (AOBOG) and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) board examinations. The residency program has academic affiliations with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Henry Ford Health. Our base medical students are from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
