Nursing Assistant Careers

Grow your healthcare career with us

The demand for dedicated nurse assistants (NAs) is growing every day, and it’s a great way to get started on a rewarding healthcare career. At Henry Ford Health, nurse assistants work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide patient care at our hospitals, clinics and in the patients’ own homes.

“Henry Ford is a place for growth. Most of our nurse assistants are in nursing school, and some who have stayed with us are now registered nurses!”
—Riann Cramatie, BSN, RN, Nurse Manager, Float Pool

Be a valued team member

We appreciate and support our NAs for the important work they do. As a Henry Ford NA, you will help patients with activities of daily life, including bathing, grooming, dressing and eating. You will also record their vital signs and weight and help them with walkers, canes and other devices.

With every patient and family member encounter, you can be proud of your ability to ease anxieties and elevate the overall care experience.

“At Henry Ford Health, NAs are an integral part of who we are when it comes to healing the whole person. When patients leave here, they remember their NAs, so we take pride in bringing on only the best of the best who want to excel in providing holistic, loving care.”
—Joshua Clark, BSN, RN – Nurse Manager, Orthopaedics
