Amrita Ray, DO

Biographical Statement

Dr. Amrita Ray is a board certified, fellowship-trained otolaryngology - head and neck surgeon with a specialization in rhinology and anterior skull base surgery. She completed her fellowship training in rhinology and endoscopic skull based surgery at the New York Presbyterian Hospital with Cornell University and Columbia University in New York, NY. She completed her otolaryngology - head and neck surgery residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She earned her medical degree at Michigan State University and her bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Ray is committed to providing high-quality patient care. Her practice focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of complex sinus, nasal and skull base disorders including refractory and recurrent sinusitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, sinus and nasal tumors, skull base tumors, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks, encephaloceles and thyroid eye disease.

Surgical procedures performed include in-office procedures such as Clarifix and operating room procedures including septoplasty, complex and revision endoscopic sinus surgery, complex frontal sinus surgery, minimally invasive endoscopic skull base surgery for brain tumors and endoscopic orbital surgery. She collaborates closely with colleagues in neurosurgery and ophthalmology in the care of complex patients.

Research Interests

In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Ray’s research interests include medical teaching and education, and clinical and translational related to surgical outcomes in sinus and skull base surgery amongst other topics in rhinology. She has presented her research at multiple national conferences, and has published a number of articles in different peer-reviewed journals.
