Program Curriculum

Our program aims to provide the necessary education and training to prepare residents for the independent practice of Emergency Medicine. To this end, the curriculum has been prepared to expose residents to the wide range of clinical knowledge needed for successful practice. Clinical work is supplemented by didactic lectures and protected didactic time weekly. Additional educational experience is gained through the structured use of our on-campus Simulation center. Our program features extensive, hands-on access to procedural training both clinically and during didactics. The use of ultrasonography by ED clinicians has grown, and this program has dedicated extensive teaching time for this important imaging modality.

New for 2020 is our addition of focus tracks in Wilderness Medicine, Ultrasound, and EMS. Residents who opt to participate will work with highly qualified and enthusiastic teaching faculty to further develop and explore their interests in the above mentioned fields.
