Patient Outcomes at Henry Ford
The Henry Ford Health collects Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) to evaluate improvements in your health. PROMs let us know how our medical treatments are helping you get better. We are national leaders in collecting and using these outcomes in meaningful ways.
You can use these PROM or PROMIS (Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System) scores to learn how certain treatments have helped other patients and use this to predict how the treatment could help you. PROMIS scores measure pain, physical function and mental health before and after surgery. A PROMIS score can be used like a rating system that quantifies pain and physical health through a numerical scale—1 to 100. This rating system can give insight into how our treatments can improve your overall wellbeing.
