Improving Quality of Care in Orthopedics
The Orthopedics Department at Henry Ford works tirelessly to improve the quality of care delivered to our patients. We do this through attentive focus on outcomes that matter to you. We collect data from our patients that allows us to see the benefits you receive from the surgeries and care we provide. We analyze this data to see how we can improve our care. You can learn more about this data for specific surgeries on the pages titled, “Clinical Outcomes after…”
Henry Ford also partners with various organizations to better understand processes and the quality of our care. With funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) under its Value Partnerships Initiative, we collect data to identify processes that lead to better health care processes and outcomes for our patients.
Henry Ford also participates in MARCQI or Michigan Arthroplasty Registry, a collaborative quality dedicated to improving the quality of care for patients undergoing hip and knee replacement procedures in Michigan. MARCQI creates statewide infrastructure dedicated to quality improvements in orthopedics.
