Allegra Picano, MS, RD
Allegra completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and her dietetic internship at West Virginia University Medicine. She received her masters degree through Texas Tech University, where she specialized in lifecycle nutrition. Allegra previously worked in the outpatient nutrition setting and at WIC where she developed a passion for helping kids and their families with their nutrition.
Lauren Sherry, RN
Lauren is a nurse navigator with Henry Ford Pediatric Gastroenterology. She received her BSN from Michigan State University and has spent most of her nursing career working in pediatrics. She enjoys working in pediatrics because children are incredibly resilient, and she finds it inspiring to watch them become themselves again.
Holly Furwa, RN
Holly attended Western Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She then worked as an event planner for several years before returning to school to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Elmhurst University. Prior to working at Henry Ford Health, she worked as a nurse in the pediatric intensive care unit and operating room.
Marielle Menke, MPH, RD
Marielle completed her undergraduate studies at Grand Valley State University and went on to earn a Master of Public Health in Nutritional Sciences, along with a Dietetic Internship at the University of Michigan. Her professional experience includes providing nutrition counseling for adolescents with eating disorders. Marielle has also made significant contributions at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, where she provided comprehensive medical nutrition therapy in both acute and ambulatory settings for inborn errors of metabolism. Her work in the Newborn Screening diagnostic and follow up clinic reflects her dedication to addressing complex nutritional needs and advancing patient care.
Katelyn Roberts, MA CCC-SLP
Kate Roberts is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University. Before joining Henry Ford Health, Kate was a member of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital's outpatient rehabilitation team in Grand Rapids, MI. She is certified in neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) to address dysphagia and other swallowing difficulties. Kate is thrilled to continue her work in pediatrics and is deeply committed to fostering a positive and supportive feeding environment for children and their families. She admires tiny humans and their incredible resilience. Her enthusiasm for improving her patients’ quality of life fuels her dedication to their growth and well-being.
