Bladder Cancer Patient Stories
Peter's Story
Peter’s cancer journey began in December 2020 with what he thought was a urinary tract infection. Peter went to his doctor for tests that showed reason for concern. After further testing, it was determined that Peter’s cancer had advanced to stage three and invaded the muscle wall. He would need more invasive treatment. He came to Henry Ford Health to participate in clinical trials and had bladder reconstruction to treat his disease.
Linda's Story
In 2014, Linda Dreyer was told she had exhausted all treatment options available for a very rare form of bladder cancer and that she only had months to live. The grandmother of six from Westland was offered the opportunity to participate in a new clinical trial for immunotherapy -- the therapy used to treat President Jimmy Carter.
