About Me
Biographical Statement
I first came to Michigan from my hometown of Brooklyn, New York, as a family medicine resident at Henry Ford Hospital. Before I knew it, I fell in love with all the state had to offer. While I had considered going into pediatrics or internal medicine, my close relationship with my family steered me towards family medicine.
As a family physician, I enjoy being able to take care of just about everyone from newborns to the elderly. It is a privilege being entrusted with the care of others. I focus on fostering strong patient relationships so my patients receive personalized, inclusive care to help fulfill all the things they choose to do with their lives.
For me, communication is key. I want to connect with my patients on a daily basis – like their extended family. I am someone they can reach out to for advice or help, not someone who will tell them solely what to do. As an avid MyChart user, I strive to be as available as much I can for each of my patients.
In addition to my practice, I love spending time with my family and traveling. I have two boys which keep me very busy and entertained when I am not at work.
Dr. Nazia Munir is approved as a licensed telemedicine provider in both the states of Michigan and Florida.
Care Philosophy
I went into medicine wanting to work together with my patients so they may lead healthy, happy lives – mentally and physically. If I have helped even just one person change their life for the better, I know that I have achieved my goal as a doctor.
