About Me
Biographical Statement
I am a board-certified internist and pediatrician with certification as a menopause provider through The Menopause Society. My practice is dedicated to women’s health, offering primary care for women ages 10 and up, with a special focus on menopausal medicine, sexual health, and comprehensive care for women at every stage of life.
I believe in the importance of primary care and the trusted relationship between patients and their primary care physician. Building this connection is essential to ensure women and girls have a reliable partner in their health journey, especially during times of need. My goal is to create a supportive, lasting partnership with each of my patients, helping them navigate their health with confidence and ease.
Women’s healthcare needs evolve over time, and I am committed to providing personalized care tailored to every stage of life. My clinical interests include:
- Puberty: In 2015, I founded Turning Teen, an educational program that helps adolescents navigate puberty without shame or embarrassment. I lecture to community groups and schools on the physical and emotional changes of puberty. In 2019, I authored Celebrate Your Body 2: The Ultimate Puberty Book for Preteen and Teen Girls, a body-positive guide for girls ages 10 and older.
- Menopause management: As a certified menopause provider, I specialize in managing the physical, emotional, and sexual health changes associated with menopause. My evidence-based approach helps women transition through this life stage with confidence and well-being. I regularly educate both medical professionals and patients through lectures and have been featured in media segments discussing menopausal care and its impact on women’s health. I address menopausal concerns alongside my primary care practice or in consultation for patients that are established with another primary care provider.
- Sexual health
- Breast cancer risk assessment
- Contraception
- Treatment of mental health concerns
- Medical management of eating disorders
I am dedicated to empowering women to prioritize their health and well-being. By providing evidence-based information and personalized guidance, I believe women can make informed choices that best suit their unique health needs and goals. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my three daughters, who challenge and inspire me daily.
