About Me
Biographical Statement
Dr. Adam Forman is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who cares for patients with all forms of cancer — including lung, breast, gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and blood cancers such as lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma, and other hematologic conditions. Whether a diagnosis is newly discovered or has been part of someone's life for years, his goal is the same: clear answers, a thoughtful plan, and treatment tailored to the whole person.
As Medical Director of the Henry Ford Providence Cancer Center and Medical Director of Oncology for Henry Ford Health's West Region, Dr. Forman leads a team of more than 80 cancer specialists and support staff caring for thousands of patients each year. He also serves as Director of Clinical Trials and Thoracic Oncology, and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University.
Dr. Forman believes patients deserve the very best care without having to travel far to find it. The clinical trials program he directs opens the door to the newest technologies, advanced therapeutics, and cutting-edge medical research — the same caliber of care available at major centers anywhere in the country — right here, close to where patients live. He also leads one of the largest community-based programs in the nation for newer immune-based therapies. Throughout, he works closely with each patient to explain their options in plain language, weigh the benefits and risks honestly, and build a plan that fits their health, their goals, and their life.
Dr. Forman earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology through Michigan State University at Providence Hospital.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Forman lives in the West Bloomfield area with his family. He is an avid golfer, enjoys fishing Michigan's lakes and rivers, and is a lifelong reader with a passion for history and philosophy.
