About Me
Biographical Statement
Dr. Cunningham is the program director of the primary care sports medicine fellowship program at Henry Ford Health. He practices non-operative orthopedics/sports medicine and has a specific clinical interest in the primary medical care of athletes of all levels.
Dr. Cunningham grew up in Tecumseh, MI and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Michigan before joining a private practice in his hometown. He eventually continued his medical education completing his primary care sports medicine fellowship at Henry Ford Health in 2019. He then worked as a core faculty member in a community family medicine residency teaching both primary care and sports medicine to primary care residents. In that role, he served as head team physician for Cleary University.
Dr. Cunningham is a firm believer in lifelong learning and continuing to adapt his clinical practice to provide treatment plans that are both practical and evidence based.
