Mirela Cerghet is approved as a licensed telemedicine provider in both the states of Michigan and Florida.
Mirela Cerghet, MD, PhD, is a neurologist at Henry Ford Hospital, assistant professor of neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and clinical associate professor at Michigan State University. She attended medical school at the Carol Davila Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, and earned a PhD in anatomy and cell biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Cerghet completed an internship in medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, in 2003; a residency in neurology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, in 2006; and a National MS Society fellowship in multiple sclerosis, in 2007. Dr. Cerghet has participated as a principal investigator in several research studies in multiple sclerosis at Henry Ford Hospital, including epidemiologic, imaging and biomarker studies, as well as the development and maintenance of a biobank containing biofluids from patients with multiple sclerosis and other neuroinflammatory disorders. Dr. Cerghet has been involved over the years as a principal investigator and/or sub-investigator in multiple international and national clinical trials in multiple sclerosis and myasthenia gravis.
