Herbert D Aronow, MD, MPH

Biographical Statement

Herbert D. Aronow, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM, is a Professor at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.  He completed his undergraduate, medical school and public health studies as well as his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan, and his Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic.  He has more than 20 years of experience in the diagnosis, medical treatment, and catheter-based therapy of blood vessel disease in the heart and throughout the body.

Research Interests

Dr. Aronow has published over 200 peer-reviewed original articles, editorials, chapters, and reviews. His research centers on the comparative safety and effectiveness of endovascular (catheter-based blood vessel) procedures.  He serves on the editorial boards for Circulation, Circulation Cardiovascular Interventions, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), JACC Interventions, Vascular Medicine Journal and Journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
