Henry Ford Jackson Hospital Visitor Information
When visiting a patient at Henry Ford Henry Ford Health Jackson, please follow these guidelines:

Regular visiting hours are 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Enter the hospital through the Main Entrance.
- If approved in advance by the patient’s nurse/care team for after-hours visitation, enter the hospital through the Emergency Room Entrance between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Learn more about after-hours and overnight visitation.
- Two visitors are allowed at a time.
- Visitors must be at least 12 years old unless approved to visit by the health care team in advance.
- Please wash and sanitize your hands before, during and after visiting a patient.
- You may wear a mask at any time if you wish or if you are not feeling well or have respiratory symptoms, like coughing or sneezing.
- Masks are required in areas where we are caring for severely immunocompromised patients. These areas include oncology (cancer), transplant, neonatal intensive care, special care nurseries, and dialysis and infusion in our ambulatory areas. Please wear a mask in any area if you are asked. Special visitor restrictions for these areas
Emergency department: Up to two visitors are allowed.
Obstetric emergency department: One visitor only is allowed.
Obstetrics, labor & delivery, family-centered maternity care, and mother-baby units, including NICUs and special care nurseries: Learn more about visiting mother and baby units
Pediatrics: One parent/guardian to visit, who may switch with one other parent/guardian, if needed. All visitors must stay in the room for the duration of the visit.
Surgical care: Two visitors on the day of surgery.
- Inpatient surgeries: Two visitors. Only one visitor may accompany the patient in the pre-op and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)/recovery areas.
- Pediatric surgical patients: Two parents or legal guardians.
COVID-positive patients in any area: COVID-19 positive patients (or patients awaiting COVID test results) are permitted one visitor per day. Visitors will be asked to wear protective equipment (mask, face shield, gown and gloves). The visitor should remain in the patient’s room for the duration of the visit.
