Cancer Cell Sorting Core

BD FACSAria™ II Cell Sorter

The BD FACSAria II flow cytometry system at Henry Ford Hospital brings simplified cell sorting and higher productivity to life science researchers. This high-performance cell sorter features hardware and software enhancements that improve the overall ease of use, flexibility, and aseptic capability. And, the BD FACSAria II offers new options in lasers and nozzles to support more advanced multi- color applications. The BD FACSAria II Cell Sorter is a benchtop high-speed flow cytometry cell sorter with a fixed-alignment cuvette flow cell and up to 5 air-cooled lasers. It allows for high-speed multicolor sorting with digital acquisition rates of up to 20,000 events per second. Sorters are able to sort into two- and four-way bulk sorting devices for a variety of tube sizes or can sort using Automated Cell Deposition Unit (ACDU) to multi-well plates or microscope slides. The BD FACSAria II Cell Sorters use FACSDIVA software for acquisition and analysis.
