Meet Our Residents

Aleksandra Vidovich, D.O.
I was born in the greater Chicagoland area. After attending University of Kentucky for undergrad, I headed back to my roots for medical school at Midwestern-CCOM. I fell in love with ENT because of the anatomic complexity, variety of cases, faculty mentorship and overall culture of our field. I chose Henry Ford Macomb because of the operative experience, close knit resident group, supportive faculty, and resources offered to advance my education. I am excited to continue my professional endeavors at the University of Wisconsin next year for Head and Neck Fellowship. My favorite things to do outside of work include cooking, watching soccer with my fiancé, reading, visiting my family, and traveling abroad.

Anthony Di Ponio, D.O.
I’m originally from Farmington Hills, MI, and am a Michigander through and through. I went to both undergrad and med school at Michigan State (MSUCOM). I was drawn to ENT because of the intricacies of Head & Neck anatomy and the many awesome surgeon mentors I worked with as a med student. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, hiking the national parks, playing my guitar and piano, watching our Detroit Lions win a future Super Bowl, and cooking Italian food with my wife (just ask my co-residents about my famous chicken parm). I chose this program for the high volume one-on-one surgical training with attendings of all specialties and for the collaboration and close relationships I’ve developed with my co-residents and attendings.

Yusra Mansour, D.O. Ph.D.
I’m originally from Ohio (Go Buckeyes!) and went to med school at LECOM-Erie. My favorite things to do include drawing, watching football, and trying new things like sky diving or zip lining. I have a PhD in anatomy education and a deep obsession with the inner ear. I chose ENT because of my appreciation for head and neck anatomy and hearing physiology. I chose our program because of the family-like culture between the residents and the excellent opportunities for in-state rotations for pediatrics and otology.

Julia Bank, D.O.
I grew up in a northern suburb of Chicago and went to undergrad at UCLA. I moved back to Chicago after undergrad to scribe for a couple years before attending Midwestern-CCOM for medical school. I loved ENT because of the balance of surgical and clinic days. I loved the variety of surgical cases and the rapid difference we could make in our patient’s lives. I chose Henry Ford Macomb because of the variety of physicians we work with and the close relationship we have with Henry Ford Detroit and their residents. Outside of work I love to read or go for a run when it isn’t too cold. I also love sports (Go Cubs!) and try to get to as many Detroit professional sports games as possible.

Mohammad-Nadim Samad, D.O.
I grew up here in the area and attended MSUCOM for medical school. My favorite things to do outside of work are working out, trying new restaurants, and exploring new hobbies. I chose ENT because of the instant gratification that it allows for when I am able to provide patients transformative solutions for their medical conditions. I chose this program because it gives me the ability to continue to learn and give back to the community I grew up in and because of the close camaraderie among the residents and attendings.
