Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program

Jumpstart your healthcare career

The demand for healthcare services is growing — and with it the need for nurse assistants (NAs). Enrolling in Henry Ford Health’s Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship Program will give you a great start to your nursing career. Even if you discover nursing is not the right fit for you, the skills and experience you gain during your NA apprenticeship will open the doors to a variety of career pathways and specialties in the healthcare field.

Get paid while you train

The Henry Ford Nurse Assistant Apprenticeship is a 12-month program that provides paid, on-the-job-training. It also pays for you to take the State of Michigan exam to become a certified nurse assistant (CNA).

“I was doing patient registration in the Emergency Department when I enrolled in the NA Apprenticeship Program. This gave me an entryway into patient care, which I really wanted to do, and I learned a lot. I would recommend this program to anyone seriously interested in patient care. It will get you ready for your nurse assistant position.”
