Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Sometimes, babies are born too soon, or have unexpected health challenges and require close monitoring after birth. If this happens to your baby, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides a high level of support for premature or sick infants.

Our team of specially trained doctors, nurses and therapists treat babies in the NICU, attend high-risk deliveries, and, if needed, provide care immediately after birth. After your baby leaves the NICU, your pediatrician will handle his/her care. See Birthing Centers locations for Henry Ford facilities with NICU support.
