Lauren D Ottenhoff, DO

Biographical Statement

Dr. Lauren D. Ottenhoff is a board-certified neurologist and neurocritical care specialist at Henry Ford Health. She specializes in the care of critically ill patients with acute neurological disorders, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, seizures and other life-threatening conditions affecting the brain and nervous system.

Dr. Ottenhoff earned her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her neurology residency at Loyola University Medical Center. She subsequently completed fellowship training in neurocritical care at the University of Michigan, where she developed expertise in the management of complex neurological emergencies and advanced critical care therapies.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ottenhoff is actively involved in research and medical education. Her scholarly work has focused on improving outcomes for patients with severe neurological illness, advancing evidence-based neurocritical care practices and enhancing the delivery of critical care services for patients with acute brain injury. She is committed to multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation and excellence in neuroscience care.
