Biographical Statement:
I am an M.D., PhD. specialized in Endocrinology, licensed in Brazil, who has over 20 years of medical practice and teaching at several renowned Brazilian Universities. I currently hold a Scientist staff position at the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center (HBTC) of the Department of Neurosurgery (Henry Ford Health). My research involves the survey of epigenetic tissue and liquid biopsy markers associated with aggressiveness or invasiveness of endocrine tumors, specifically involving pituitary and other CNS tumors and thyroid carcinomas.
