About Me
Biographical Statement:
Dr. Loree received her PhD in clinical psychology from Wayne State University. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Michigan, and holds certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). Dr. Loree completed her doctoral internship at Yale University School of Medicine, and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship through the VA’s Interprofessional Advanced Fellowship in Addiction Treatment at VA Connecticut Healthcare System and Yale University School of Medicine. She joined the Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research in July 2017.
Her research interests broadly focus on substance use and women’s health, particularly during the perinatal period. Currently, she is the PI on a CDC-funded project implementing technology-based screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) for alcohol use in primary care and women’s health clinics, Co-PI of the Perinatal Behavioral Health Integration program (funded by the Ethel & James Flinn Foundation), and Co-PI of the Healthy You, Healthy Pregnancy, Healthy Baby (H3; funded by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund) project. She is also a co-investigator on several clinical trials and implementation projects, including a NIDA Clinical Trials Network study examining primary care office-based addiction treatment for opioid use disorder, an NIH Collaboratory study on a pediatrics-based prevention program for parents of adolescents, an NICHD study examining treatment for new episodes of depression in pregnancy, and an NICHD study on interpersonal therapy for the treatment of major depression following perinatal loss.
Research Interests:
Dr. Loree’s research interests focus on substance use and women’s health, particularly during the childbearing years and perinatal period. She is also interested in technology-based interventions and complementary and integrative health approaches (e.g., mindfulness, yoga).
