Biographical Statement
Jake Carpenter-Thompson, MD, PhD, is a board certified neurologist with the Henry Ford Kutcher Clinic for Concussion and Sports Neurology. Dr. Carpenter-Thompson trained at the leading sports neurology program with the world-renowned Kutcher Clinic.
As a physician-scientist, Dr. Carpenter-Thompson has researched and published several peer-reviewed scientific articles investigating the effects of physical activity on brain function. Dr. Carpenter-Thompson has also co-authored clinical journal articles related to cutting edge concussion evaluation and management.
As a neurologist with the Henry Ford Kutcher Clinic for Concussion and Sports Neurology, Dr. Carpenter-Thompson provides individualized neurological care for all athletes.

Dr Thompson accompanied Dr several times during my care , and eventually took over when Dr wasn't available. Honestly, I've been cared for by multiple providers over the past 6-7 years for this condition, and not once I had any issues with any staff member. They are all professionals and very patient with me and my concerns. I trust their training, care, and decisions.

Dr Thomas carpenter was the most amazing doctor I think I've ever seen. He was respectful and took the time to document all of my history on a whiteboard and taught me about the condition I was experiencing with respect and as an equal. He was friendly and passionate about what he did and extremely knowledgeable about concussions. I would recommend anyone who has concussions to visit this practice and this doctor.

This is seriously the best doctor I've ever been to. He is extremely knowledgeable. He explains things clearly and even writes them on the white board. The follow up in mychart has been very helpful. I send a message and he replies right away. I feel heard and understood. We are on the same page 99% of the time. I am finally feeling like myself after 2 years of PCS & Fibromyalgia. I can't say enough about Dr.Thompson. I am so relieved and so grateful. Please have medical staff train under him. We need people like him in this field.
