Hearing-Impaired Services

A sound means of communication-for everyone

At Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, we place a primacy on communication between physician and patient-for everyone. Fortunately, our hearing-impaired patients need not fear that this important communication will be denied them because of their disability.

  • Portable Telecommunications Devices (TDD's), amplified handsets for patient telephones and closed captioning on the television screen are available through the BioMed Department. Call (734) 246-6932 to learn more.
  • Sign language interpreters are also available, please call the Patient Representative Office at (734) 246-7108. If possible, please allow 24 hours for scheduling interpreting services.
