Chief Nursing Officer & Vice President of Patient Care Services

Gwen Gnam, MSN, RN has been the Chief Nursing Officer / Vice-President of Patient Care Services since July 2011. Gwen has spent her practicing career with a focus on surgery, ambulatory care, critical care and administration. 

She was the lead Henry Ford Health nurse on the Epic Inpatient Project and continues to actively participate in the Nurse Advisory Council. Currently, Gwen and the Henry Ford Hospital (HFH) Magnet Project Team are working with clinical nurses and nurse leaders to achieve Magnet Recognition®.

Prior to HFH, Gwen held several key leadership positions during her tenure at Henry Ford Health, including Surgical Services Administrator, Administrator of Inpatient Nursing, Nursing Administrator of Surgical Inpatient Units, Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Administrator of the Canton Medical Center.

Gwen holds a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Care Science. Gwen graduated from Henry Ford Health’s Leadership and Advanced Leadership Academy.
