Division of Biostatistics
Data is everywhere, and healthcare is no exception. Medicine is driven by empirical evidence derived from data that were collected in clinical trials, observational studies, and retrospective medical record reviews. Biostatisticians are trained in estimation and inference from data, with specific applications in the biomedical sciences.
PERC
The Patient-Engaged Research Center (PERC) is a team dedicated to improving the way Henry Ford delivers patient care and treatment of diseases. Patient Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) is a relatively new category of research using “real life” feedback that involve patients and their families.
CAAIR
The Center for Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Research (CAAIR) is a group of epidemiologists, allergists, research clinicians, immunologists, laboratory investigators and statisticians who collaborate on all aspects of research: abstract and manuscript preparation, grant development and scientific discourse. The Center’s mission to reduce disparities in asthma and allergy incidence, morbidity and mortality through interdisciplinary etiologic and applied research.
CEPC
Established in 1996, the Cancer Epidemiology, Prevention and Control (CEPC) program integrates clinical and public health researchers from many different disciplines to study the entire cancer continuum, including the prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment and long-term outcomes of cancer as well as disparities within that continuum.
HDRC
The Health Disparities Research Collaborative (HDRC) provides a platform for the mentoring, support, and collaboration of Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) investigators working to understand how cultural, biological, behavioral, social, environmental and medical issues may contribute to racial and ethnic health disparities.
Center for Bioinformatics
The Center for Bioinformatics collaborates and consults with researchers within and outside of Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) and is composed of bioinformaticians, biostatisticians, and epidemiologists with extensive experience in design, analysis, and interpretation of studies involving high-dimensional bio-molecular profiling data.
