Professional Nursing Advancement Program (PNAP)
Henry Ford Jackson Hospital (HFJH) understands that patient outcomes improve when care is delivered by professional nurses who are highly skilled, motivated to learn, committed to the hospital’s mission, and dedicated to furthering the profession of nursing.
HFJH clinical nurses are all encouraged to participate in the Professional Nursing Advancement Program (PNAP). The PNAP is a clinical ladder for Registered Nurses (RNs) that supports nursing contribution to practice, education, leadership, and research. The program provides advancement opportunities and recognition for clinical nurses who demonstrate engagement by exceeding standard job responsibilities.
A hallmark of the program is the professional portfolio, which the nurse creates to include endorsements from leadership and peers, self-assessment tools, a professional resume and evidence of the nurse’s accomplishments. The PNAP focuses on improving and advancing the nursing practice throughout the Henry Ford Health and fosters an environment of enhanced professionalism.
Program Goals
