How to Apply

We are excited to welcome the next generation of physicians to the Henry Ford Jackson Hospital Residency Program. We encourage applicants who are looking for a supportive training environment, meaningful clinical experiences, and a close-knit residency community to consider joining us in Jackson, Michigan.

Application Process

Applicants interested in Henry Ford Jackson Hospital must apply through ERAS and participate in the NRMP Match. We are unable to review applications submitted outside of ERAS.

All interviews will be conducted virtually. Interview invitations are expected to be sent from late October through December. Applicants who receive an invitation will receive additional information regarding the interview schedule and process through Thalamus.

ERAS Application Requirements

Applicants should submit the following through ERAS:

• Completed ERAS application and CV
• Medical school transcript
• 3–4 letters of recommendation
• USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK or COMLEX scores
• Personal statement
• A brief statement explaining why you are interested in training at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital

**We do not have a minimum score cutoff for application review. However, applicants must have passing scores on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK or the equivalent COMLEX examinations**
International medical graduates should be ECFMG certified by the time the rank list is certified.

For the ERAS application cycle, our program participates in the Supplemental ERAS Application offered through the AAMC. Applicants are required to complete the MyERAS application; participation in the Supplemental ERAS Application is optional.

We are pleased to sponsor J-1 visas for eligible international medical graduates.

Virtual Interviews

Our virtual interviews are conducted using Thalamus. Applicants selected for an interview will receive information regarding the interview platform and schedule through ERAS.
