Application Process
Vascular Surgery fellows are recruited from general surgical residencies with a historic foundation of five years of general surgical residency.
How to Apply
Candidates for the Vascular Surgery fellowship must complete a full residency in General Surgery and be eligible to take the American Board of Surgery certification. One fellow is chosen each year, with fellowship candidates typically applying 2 years before entering the training program.
One position is filled every year however two positions are filled every other year through the National Residency Matching Program. Applications can be sought by registration with the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Applications are filed through ERAS and are reviewed in December/January. Invitations for interviews are provided in January. Personal interviews are conducted during the months of February and March in advance of the match date in the early spring. Applicants must be at least in their fourth year of training in an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program.
