Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship

The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program at Henry Ford Hospital is a one-year ACGME accredited training program that provides an extensive training in Clinical Neurophysiology. We also offer two year positions to interested individuals. The second (non-ACGME) year aims for further subspecialization and related clinical or basic research.

We offer five positions every year. On completion of the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program, the fellows gather far-reaching skills in one or more of the following:

  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Motor and sensory nerve conduction studies (NCS)
  • Diagnostic electromyography (EMG)
  • Single-fiber electromyography (SFEMG)
  • Video/EEG monitoring
  • Critical care monitoring (CCM)
  • Magnetoencephalography (MEG)
  • Evoked potential (EP) studies
  • Sleep studies (PSG and MSLT)
  • Electrodiagnostic movement disorder assessment
  • Botox injections
  • Muscle and nerve biopsies
  • Testing of the autonomic functions

Mission

Henry Ford (HF) Health Systems Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship is part of Henry Ford Hospital Department of Neurology that consists of a dedicated team of physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff that provide primary and consultative care to patients with a wide range of neurologic diseases in a tertiary care setting. The mission of the staff involved in the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship is to provide exceptional care to patients with epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders; participate in the education and development of HFHS residents, fellows, and rotating residents; and advance clinical knowledge, practice skills (EEG and EMG procedures) and clinical research in epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders.
