Meet the Neurosciences Critical Care Faculty

The Neurosciences Critical Care Program at Henry Ford has a 14 year history of excellence and was one of the first in the nation that offered NCC Fellowship. The location is the 16-bed high-acuity Neuro-ICU, one of the busiest in Midwest. It admits close to 1,000 patients every year with ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke, traumatic brain or spine injuries, brain tumors, cardiac arrest or acute liver failure with cerebral edema, status epilepticus, neuromuscular diseases requiring hemodynamic or respiratory support and encephalitides. Advanced multimodality monitoring is used in appropriate patients. The Team consists of 5 trained neurointensivists, 2 Fellows/year, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists/ occupational therapists and specialty-trained nurses.
