Philanthropist Florine Mark leaves a legacy of giving

Throughout her life, Florine Mark (1933-2023) displayed a commitment to fueling advances in healthcare – inspired not only by her own experiences, but also her empathy for the health struggles of those she cared for.

Florine was an active community volunteer and longtime advocate for Henry Ford Health, serving both as a Henry Ford Health Foundation Board member and Vice Chair of Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital from its inception until 2021.

A testament to her philanthropic spirit, in 2023, Florine made a generous $500,000 gift toward the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Capital Fund to support the hospital’s children’s and women’s units.

Opened in 2009, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital has committed itself to take health and healing beyond the boundaries of imagination. In addition to providing clinical excellence in an uplifting, spacious healing environment, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital has become a center of wellness in the community through dedicated programs and amenities that aim to provide a comprehensive and holistic healthcare experience – mind, body and spirit.
