Technology detox
Try This
If you are experiencing technostress and want to take some steps to alleviate the impact your phone and computer use can have on your health, then think about the following suggestions:
- Set aside time without your phone or computer. If you are trying to relax after a long day, give yourself the opportunity to fully step away from technology by leaving your phone and computer in a different room while you take time for yourself.
- Set timers on your phone that limit your time on certain apps that you do not absolutely need to use.
- Create spaces and / or times in your day where technology is off limits. For example, no tech at the dinner table.
- Try picking a hobby that doesn’t require any tech, like jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, or board games.
- Simply sit outside and gaze at nature.
What works for you to limit your technology use?
