Henry Ford Transplant Research Collaborative

Our core mission is to conduct clinically oriented research with the goal of improving patient care and facilitating multidisciplinary research collaboration in the transplant field.

The Research Collaborative connects clinicians, researchers and investigators with specific knowledge and expertise in state of the art research methodologies to foster collaborative, multidisciplinary investigation, inspiring new ideas and discoveries.

Organ transplantation can be a life-saving gift. We have an exceptionally active research and development program that is seamlessly integrated into our clinical program. This allows us to swiftly translate scientific advances into new ways of diagnosing and treating patients and preventing disease.

To the next generation of researchers, the Research Collaborative provides a highly accessible knowledge base as well as a strong level of support.

The Research Collaborative attracts students, fellows, and post-doctoral professionals. Their discoveries become the foundation for clinical research here and around the world. We support the training of the next generation in clinical outcomes-based research in transplantation.

Our physician-researchers continue to perfect less-invasive surgical techniques, refine the transplant process, and find ways to minimize medications—all to improve long-term outcomes for both organ transplant recipients and living organ donors.
