Our Primary Care Team

Your first steps toward good health include selecting a primary care provider (PCP). They help you maintain your health with regular physical exams and are here for you when you’re sick. PCPs at Henry Ford Health manage chronic diseases like diabetes and heart issues and coordinate specialist care if you need it.

About our primary care team

Primary care providers include doctors and advanced practice providers (APPs), such as physician assistants and nurse practitioners. APPs undergo rigorous training and can treat common and complex conditions.

Doctors and APPs work closely with other primary care team members to provide seamless care. You may receive services from nurses, case managers, pharmacists and medical assistants. And because we can all access your electronic medical record, everyone is on the same page about your care needs. We manage all the details so you can focus on your health.

Selecting a primary care provider

With medical centers throughout southeast and south central Michigan, it’s easy to find a Henry Ford PCP near you. Our team includes providers who speak your language and understand your customs and beliefs. There are three types of providers to choose from, making it easier to select the right one for you and your family.

Options include:

Family medicine

Family medicine providers deliver all the primary care services you may need. They treat people of all ages — often multiple members of the same family. You can breathe a little easier knowing you don’t have to manage relationships with multiple PCPs. And we can address medical concerns that may impact your entire family.
