Lisa Prasad Named Modern Healthcare Innovator for 2025

Congratulations to Lisa Prasad, Henry Ford Health Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer, recognized as one of Modern Healthcare’s Innovators for 2025. This prestigious award honors leaders transforming healthcare through innovation, improved care, and measurable results.

As Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan, Lisa is the health system’s top officer responsible for leading technology development, corporate business, product development, and commercialization strategies. In her role as executive leader of Henry Ford Innovations, she leverages Henry Ford’s intellectual and clinical assets through technology commercialization, industry partnerships, venture funding, and product development. Her visionary leadership positions Henry Ford Health to thrive in the evolving landscape of technology and consumer-driven healthcare.

Lisa also oversees an expanding relationship with Michigan State University and the Davidson Fellowship for Innovation in Healthcare. Close to home, she is leading the transformation of Detroit into a dynamic hub for healthcare innovation, where Henry Ford Innovations has created a supportive ecosystem for local startups and entrepreneurs to address critical healthcare challenges.

Lisa previously served as co-founder and president of a commercial development and advisory firm focused on investment around universities and hospitals, creating strategies to leverage an institution’s intellectual and operational assets. She also held roles as associate vice president at the University of Pennsylvania and chief of staff to Penn’s executive vice president, after leading a team at Coopers & Lybrand’s Higher Education Consulting Practice in New York City. She earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan and her master’s degrees in government administration and international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
