Michael graduated from Eastern Michigan University with his Master’s degree in Healthcare Economics five years ago and has been in healthcare data analytics ever since. He currently works for HAP where he manages all of the data and reporting for their HEDIS and Medicare 5-Star department. Michael’s professional interests have always been how the wealth of data today can increase engagement and understanding of one’s health. He finds it exciting how wearable technology, electronic health records, patient portals, health trackers etc. all have the potential to put every bit of information about someone at their fingertips. Personally, he likes to consider himself a “data geek” and loves studying the use of creative coding and data tools in fine art and sports analysis.
