Swati Verma

I have a Master’s degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering and I am a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. I have worked on a variety of process innovation projects as a Systems Engineer in the healthcare industry for last 13 years addressing issues related to patient safety, quality outcomes, patient access, wastes in health care and variation in practices. I am passionate about finding solutions to these pertinent issues in an ever-evolving and highly complex healthcare landscape to reduce their impact on our patients and communities. I joined the department of Performance Excellence and Quality at Henry Ford Hospital in January 2020 as a Principal Management Engineer.  My responsibilities have included training the frontline staff on their Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Projects (CUSP) work as well as facilitating the process improvement work  and managing projects that impact throughput, patient experience and patient and employee safety. Additionally, during COVID I supported the Henry Ford Cancer Institute leadership team in the opening of the new Cancer Pavilion.
