I have been an occupational therapist for over 7 years and a certified hand therapist for almost 2 years. I believe it is important to be diversified in your career, so I work in several settings and enjoy seeing patients through the different stages of their healing journey. I have worked at Henry Ford Hospital for 6 years primarily in the acute care setting, but also covering for outpatient clinics as needed. I love traveling, going to concerts and hiking in my free time. I have lived in Detroit for 6 years and am happy to be a new homeowner in the city close to work and all the events downtown.

Ever since I was younger, I find myself assessing products and processes for a better design and efficacy. Being a hand therapist, I frequently fabricate custom orthoses for my patients to fit their needs and daily occupations (work, leisure, etc.) Working with both pediatric and adult population throughout my career has forced me to be innovative in many ways including orthosis fabrication, creating patient rapport and overall "buy-in" to the therapeutic process. It is so essential in healthcare to be efficient and money conscious while still providing individualized, high-level care. Healthcare innovation is essential in creating better outcomes for our patients.
