Susan Leica is a territory manager specializing in spine for leading orthopedic medical device company, Zimmer-Biomet. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology. Beyond her experience and education in the medical and biomedical fields, she is also fluent in Polish and Romanian. Her passion for healthcare started when she volunteered in charity hospitals in Eastern Europe. Here, Susan had the unique opportunity to experience true diversity within other healthcare systems that operate throughout the world. Because of these diverse foundations of experiences, Susan decided to integrate her background working as a top performing sales representative at American Eagle Logistics, with her passion for healthcare to work in the medical device industry. During this time period, Susan was ranked number one in her lateral training class and number two in her national spine clinical training class, allowing her to become the state specialist in one of the highest technologically rated spine procedures, Direct Lateral Interbody Fusion. Susan’s career aspirations include furthering her technical research and experience in medical innovation, obtaining an MBA from a top-tier program, as well as continuing to work closely with local communities to spread awareness for spinal cord injury and victims of paralysis.

In her spare time, Susan enjoys watching college football and is an avid follower the NHL. She also enjoys many outdoor activities, doing Pilates, as well as cooking traditional polish food for friends and family.
