Lauren Wolf

I am a Data Scientist currently employed at Henry Ford Health, where I analyze complex data, model future outcomes, and extract meaningful information from the results. Prior to joining the Data Science team, I was the Principal Performance Measurement Analyst in HFH Radiology, where I created several interactive dashboards to drive decision making and monitor progress toward service line strategic goals. These tools are utilized across the system by both clinical and operational leaders.

My additional relevant experience includes working as an analyst, consultant, and project manager for six years at a healthcare consulting firm, during which time I led several projects for Boston Children's Hospital and the Navy Bureau of Medicine. I have experience working in both the inpatient and outpatient areas of hospital systems, including operating rooms/surgical settings, infection control, radiology, laboratory services, and with value based care cohorts.

My areas of interest in my career include ethical use of data, as well as greater data availability for clinicians and operational leaders to make better informed decisions. In my current role, one of my projects has involved exploring fairness machine learning to ensure predictive models are performing equally well for all subsets of the population. This includes developing a program that can monitor model performance and fairness on an ongoing basis. I recently earned my master's degree in applied data science from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, I enjoy running, and am an organizer in a local area run club.
