Derrick Harper

I have been apart of Henry Ford Health System since 2005. I began as a hybrid junior staff and cross sectional imaging fellow from 2005-2006. I then did a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging at HFHS from 2006-2007. I joined the ER division in 2007 to current. As a staff in the ER division, I obtained my Neuroradiology Certificate of Additional Qualification. Due to my extra training and qualifications, I am able to provide coverage to both the department of Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging when needed. Resident teaching is also apart of my duties as a senior staff radiologist at HFHS.

Given my unique schedule as an ER radiologist, I was able to do a significant amount of independent contracting work throughout Southeast and Northern Michigan and worked at multiple facilities with different picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). This allowed me to compare different technologies and discover common weaknesses and inefficiencies.
